Re: door step on a 1998 u295 Reply #9 – September 15, 2010, 11:05:54 pm Barry, does the approach you desribe work on an '04 model? I have been trying to do what you suggest but keep running into trouble. Do you put a fuse inline with the 12 volts to the door switch? If so, what amperage? Thanks Quote Selected

Install the 30-amp, in-line fuse on the power lead as close to the battery as possible. Cut the lead in two and butt connect the in-line fuse into place. See Figure 1. " Quote Selected
Re: door step on a 1998 u295 Reply #11 – September 16, 2010, 08:08:28 am Barry - sorry I wasn't clear - I am asking about the air step - the C11 wire change. Every time I put 12 v as you describe it I bust the in-line fuse I use - what size fuse should I be using? Also, where do you splice in the switch? In my coach, there are 2 green wires going to the door switch - both very short - just long enough to get to the switch with no extra -- and I haven't found where they run as they go under the coach. Thanks again.
