Scrathes in the clear coat

We pulled into Baker's Hole campground here in West Yellowstone a few days ago only to find out they did not have an electric site for us.  Something they were not able to tell us over the telephone -- grrrrrrr.  On the way out via a very neglected road insofar as keeping branches trimmed we (I) managed to get several deep scratches in the clear coat.  The paint is still intact.  A thanks here to Xtreme Graphics and the extra layer of clear coat.

I used Turtle Wax Polishing Compound/Scratch Remover and a hand-held 3500 RPM (at no load) to try to get rid of the scratches.  They are somewhat better.

What should I be using/doing to remove them entirely?

FYI -- we are at the Grizzly RV park.  Great place.

If you are going to sand/polish, you are going to have to go all the way down to the bottom of the scratches.

Or, you can get to a point that you got enough of it out and it doesn't bother you as much. Call it quits and leave as much clear-coat on as you can.

Call Xtreme and see if you can put clear-coat over it either before you polish, or after.  They might have a repair kit that you spray over with bottle sprayer.
