Updates - Deep Cleaning & Settling In to Blue Eyes

WOW!!! What a "wild" "weird" Summer - Whee, glad things are calming down  :)) :))

Really love our U320, glad we made the plunge and got a really good coach from FT & she handles so well and once I get her to slow down; she likes to cruse at 74mph "Gulp"!!! Driving will be even more pleasurable  :)) :)) Towing my 2500HD pick-up is super easy too!!

All would think after 7 weeks at Camp FT we would run like crazy in the opposite direction of being there any time soon. But, after few weeks realized the front dual shade were a must have. Once we finished our medical appointments in July we rolled back into Camp FT early August with a list of minor things and also had the lovely day/night motorized shades installed - AH, heavenly bliss ;)

Among the tiny things we had done was to put a stop to Jim turning on switches that weren't lights - Yikes, we had water overflowing out of fresh tank, generator running and water pump in a state of total confusion. Again, thanks to the wonderful guys at FT shop they resolved my plights easily and reasonably: David made a little walnut wood box which he Velcroed over the two switches for water pump and fill in the bathroom under the edge of the counter top & I can still reach in from the bottom with one finger to turn on/off either switch. The generator switch above the bed was disconnected and left in place.

Last week we returned again to have the carpet and headliner deep cleaned by G.P. of Cem-Dry, who does most all coaches for FT. He did a FAB job! Nice to finally feel can claim our space and settle in!!

Also, had to have several rock chips repaired. Thought had an air pressure issue on rear of coach, but of course she behaved for the guys in the shop and once Alton stomped on the brake petal a few times and declared "just go drive your coach and enjoy" I think Blue Eyes figured she better behave. Air issue was just a fluke thing and she has promised to be a good FT girl!!!

Have installed three cordless, room darkening Levolor shades at: driver side, passenger side and kitchen windows. For the three living area windows have and will install soon room darkening metal mini blinds. Like the concept of being able to turn blinds to see out at night yet have privacy.

Located a lovely runner rug for in front of sofa which picks up all the original coach colors yet gives a south western feel. For the bedroom, after digging through FT fabric swatches have decided to do my own things with softer colors to compliment the warm south west colors the front of coach is taking on. Decorating our rolling condo is going to be enjoyable.

We've sold our Lazy Daze coach, Toyota tow car, cargo trailer and cleared out two storage units - finally we are officially Full Time - faint  :))

Yes, I will take/download pics - once I figure out how to send them from my new IPhone 4  :D

Virginia and Jim,

Good to hear that everything is working out for you.  It has been a long time.  I hesitate to use the word ordeal as you take everything in stride.  FOT has certainly taken good care of you and handled all of wishes.  We look forward to seeing pictures and hearing of where you have been.

Take care.

Another Lazy Dazer. That makes at least three currently with a Foretravel who previously had a Lazy Daze.

Hi George and Paul

George:
Still working on how to get the pics from IPhone to computer, may just email them to myself "A Light Bulb moment" !!!
Where have we been. Not far just central Texas, The Woodlands. Presently at Escapee Rainbow Park on way back to NAC for dental appt. Planning Albuquerque end of October after Balloon Fiesta for solar panel install by Mike Sylvester, thervguynm.com
Yes, FOT has been very good to us. We feel their fine professional approach contributed greatly to our making this move to a 40'DP. Taking things in stride has been one of my best habits got into with all we have to deal with. Smiling works wonders.

Paul:
We've added another LDer couple to the FT gang now. Am sure they will chime in soon on the ForeForum. We're going to have to start our own motorcade group of former LDer's

My only wish is WHY did I not get my FT 5 years ago. She is so SWEET :))
