On my 99 the yellow lights indicated that the coach was level checking and found it out of level. You should have air in the tanks and that would be enough or it will release air and lower the high side.  The 12 volt rarely ran on my 99 as I had no slides and I found all my leaks.

There is a fuse on mine and if it runs too long it will pop the fuse but that is a 2001. I think they should be similar. Look and see if you are getting power to the pump first then troubleshoot the pump.  The yellow lights would stay on for about 30 mins till it re-leveled. If it is not doing that, it may be your HWH box not the 12 volt.

Dave and Wendy,

I would test the compressor after the coach has been sitting for enough time for the tank air to be depleted.  I would turn the ignition key on but not start the engine.  Push the HWH Level button once, then push any down arrow to un-level the coach.  Then push the Level button a second time and turn the ignition key off.  You should then hear the compressor turn on to try to re-level.

On my 95 I was getting ready to pull the compressor as I had never heard it run in 4 years. The reason I hadn't yanked it yet is because its a real pain to do so - its mounted behind the Heart Freedom 25 inverter. The last time we leveled the coach was just not 'getting there' and after 5 minutes I shut the engine off. While I was hooking up power and water, I heard a noise I hadn't heard before. Opened the bay door and there was the compressor, running like a champ... I went back inside to start the engine and relevel, and it had leveled the coach the rest of the way and the compressor turned off!

Dave - so are you saying it had always worked and you just didn't know it?  I've never heard mine run either is why I ask, but I've not really needed it to either and so haven't checked it out.  Where is the fuse they speak of?  The dash gauge has a white an a orange needle, what is the white one for?

I've worried about the desiccant and whether it might have burned up. I can only assume it has always worked. I'm not sure which needle is which. I assumed front and rear.

Dave,

I realize it is a pain, but it might be a good idea to pull it and clean all the electrical connections.  I never did like it when something "just started working" on its own.  All MH's are a pain to get to things, some worse than others.  My GV has hydraulic levelers which have their own issues, however they are less complex than the newer airbag leveling systems.

So what we're saying here, I think, they're only for the braking system air, nothing to do with the hwh?  And apparently the front and rear braking has separated air system.  Sorry OP, I didn't mean to hijack your post.

Dave, don't feel bad. I had the same experience when I switched from the Hydraulic Jacks on my U225 to the Air Leveling in my U300.
