TV electric eye

We just had the front TV changed to a 32" flat at FT.  We couldn't be happier with the finsh quality and the service received.  ONE PROBLEM:  The electric eye for the front TV and Dish will not work ( the rear works fine).  At the plant, we were told that the new TVs inhibit the electric eye and they put a filter over the eye to solve the problem.  Doesn't help.  Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

Try turning off the fluorescent lights, it interferes with the RF signal.

Is it a Plasma or LCD?  Both can create issues for the IR eye receivers and they require different filters to help with the issue.

For LCD and CFL issues ... http://www.amazon.com/Xantech-ML85-Proof-Designer-Receiver/dp/B003LPY3Y0/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1288803432&sr=1-3
- or -

The first one is the newer version AFAIK, more information is on the Xantech site

For plasma and CFL issues ... http://www.amazon.com/49095D-Plasma-Proof-Designer-Infrared-Receiver/dp/B001W0Y2FQ/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1288803698&sr=1-9

I'm sure you can find them cheaper if you do some searching ....

We also have this issue in our coach when the fluorescent lights (certain ones) are on ... I just finished diagnosing this problem (thinking it was IR from the lights) but it turned out to be some of the ballasts making the 12V 'dirty' ... I used a 120 to 12V power source to power the IR eyes and then they worked great even with all the lights on ... but use the coaches 12V (with the fluorescent lights on) and they would not work ... Next I'll see if a simple dc noise filter or choke core will fix the issue or if I'll just power of the 120-12v brick

Ours is a VISO LCD.  I'll try the all suggestions.  Thanks for all the responses.
