Welding on a Foretravel coach

Somewhere in the past couple of years I read something about the need to be very, very careful when having any welding done on our coach.

What should I know about this?  I don't contemplate having this done, but one never knows what kind of predicament awaits us and I'd like to know more to avoid a costly mistake.

Foretravel Owner's Manuals have a list of what equipment needs to be disconnected on what series coach prior to welding.  If you can't find it, James Triana can certainly shoot you a copy.

And, yes, some have posted that they have welded without disconnecting the recommended components.  To me that falls into the realm of "what I got away with" rather than "recommended practices".

Thanks for the reminder Brett.  We do have the manual.  That is probably where I saw it. And, if I am ever in that situation, I can also search the message archives here and that is why an accurate topic title is so important.
