Fresh water, Grey and Black Water on 1989 U280

Does anyone know the holding caps of these 3 tanks on a 1989 U280. I have no manual.

I did go do Barry's Foretravel Links site and pulled up specs on this unit. It gives a water supply of 108 gal if I recall correctly but it doesn't separate. That is a great site that does give much information. I will check the site above. Thanks Dave.

108 gal waste water cap. I would guess that is 54 black and 54 grey.

Actually, I think it is 108 gray and about 55 black. That usually the about the ratio gray to black and other similar model's spec sheets show about that amount.

I have an original sales brochure for the 1989 Grand Villa 280 and I have a 1989 GV. But, there is no mention anywhere as to capacities.  Other than Barry's  site I don't know how else to get the info unless the Factory has it.

Barry, according to your web site, the 1993 U280 has 110 gallon gray water and 54 gallon black water tanks. My recollection is that my 1993 U300 has similar capacity so I am therefore officially confused.

Kent,

My '92 U 280 also has 110 gallon gray water, 102 fresh water, and 54 gallon black.  About what are you confused?  The '89 280 apparently had a single black and grey tank combined,  but sometime in the following couple years they made the change.

According to "Dub" he has 2 tanks appearing to be identical.
I know the black is 54 , so I assumed the grey was also if they are the same size and that would make the 108 listed on the brochure.
It is strange that the 1991 & 1992 are 110 & 54.

OH, OH Barry, Let's add to the confusion. I have a 3600 SBID rear engine diesel and not a Unihome U280. I have no thru compartments in the basement and all my storage compartments have the latches near the top edges, so what size would the H2O tanks be on this setup and would they be the same as a Unihome U280?

My 1993 U225 has an 85 gallon gray tank and a 40 gallon black tank. When one removes the fiberglass enclosure from behind the dump valves both tanks look about the same. I presume the difference is in the depth of the tanks, not the height or width. I'm putting my money, which ain't much at this point, on the 110 gallon gray and 54 gallon black for the 89 U280. If its 54 and 54 gallons, somebody is going to be a very busy camper.

Spec sheet says:
1989 ORED 8.2 36'

May be two 108's for all I know, they are identical  2ft wide 1ft deep and probably 6ft long. Had the rig 2 years and work has prohibited me from staying in it longer than a four day stretch so I've not filled one completly. The gauges work and there have been times when the grey has shown to be 3/4 full when time to leave and dump. The wife  showers alot and I will buy a bigger rig before I discourage that. ;D

Taking your rough measurments:

2' X 1' X 6'= 12 cubic ft of water

12 cubic ft of water divided by 0.133681 cubic feet/one U.S. Gallon=  90 U.S. Gallons
