Microphor toilet issue...Water to High

In this "new" coach we are dealing with a very nice, china Microphor toilet.  Model LF 220.  Our problem of the day is that the toilet will decide to call for more water added to the bowl all on it's own.  We have had occasion to notice that the bowl is waaaaay full of water, when no one had been near it, and we have taken care that the inflow had stopped after the last flush.  Inspection of the interior gizmos shows us that the area marked "Fuse" is empty .... no fuse in place, and a red connector wire from underneath the fuse socket is left unconnected and we can't see where it should go.  Rotation of the black knob that should regulate water height in the bowl has been rotated to lower the water level, but appears to have no effect.  We live off our water tank and are not hooked up to a source ... always turn off the pump when leaving the coach, etc.

Question:  How important is that fuse and why would someone remove it?    Wonder where that red wire goes.

We took a wire off of the black box that appears to be the "brain" that calls for water .... will that disconnect it and then we can just reconnect when we need to "clear the area"?  Will that stop the commode from calling for more water.  The flushing handle appears to just work the "flap".  This toilet had all the "works rebuile less than 2 months ago at MOT ... and it was a pricey repair by the previous owner!

Lord ..... I really do not like this thing.    All advice is appreciated.

While I can't comment on the empty "fuse" issue, I can advise our experience with the Microphor toilet has been excellent. We did discover, early-on, that it is highly-advised you periodically brush-on a little waterproof pure silicon paste to the "valve" surfaces (inside the "tank") The control-valve is inside the round black plastic cylinder. It un-screws, exposing the valve mechanism. Put a "THIN" coat of silicon-paste on the mating seal surfaces of the valve. Repeat; "thin coat" - too much can cause the valve to stick - not a good thing.) I also put a more liberal coat of silicone-paste on the mating surfaces of the flapper-valve in the toilet itself. Flush, and when the flapper is open, turn the power-switch under the "tank" cover (rear of the area) to stop the cycle with the flapper open. You can use a small bristle-brush to gently scrub the mating surfaces, then use an acetone-brush or equivalent to apply a coating of the same silicon to both the flapper and the mating surfaces. Regardless of all the complaints I've read about the Microphor toilet, ours has been flawless, provided I do the above about every 4-6 months. Takes all of 3-minutes.

Remove and inspect Solenoid Valve
Solenoid Valve Cleaning
Solenoid Service Kit, P/N 40037

1 Disconnect the power by removing the two blue wires from the solenoid.

2 Disconnect the water supply line at china end.

3 Remove two screws securing the solenoid to the mounting bracket.

4 Pull solenoid away from the Vacuum Breaker.

5 Remove water supply tube.

6 Remove four (4) screws from Solenoid Valve Body and remove spring and diaphragm.

7 Clean holes in the diaphragm if clogged. Inspect solenoid for debris and clean. Reassemble in reverse order.

There are some pics and info on flapper adjustments in the files section, maybe some help as well.

Thanks, everyone.  Some of these photos bear half a resemblance to what is inside the toilet.  It is bizzare .. but we seem to have some parts and not others.  There is no obvious circuit breaker, no fuse, some parts seem to have been updated ( and we know that it was "rebuilt" at MOT at considerable expense about 2 months ago.  It seems to be behaving for now....  we will watch it like a hawk.

Toilets just should NOT be this complicated!!  I object.
