Duo Therm Shroud

Walked the roof yesterday, checking things out.  Noticed some emergent cracking at the corners of both Duo Therm shrouds.  Probably time to replace them?  Google showed me a few vendors, most with non-OEM replacements.  I'm thinking I want OEM.  Can anyone recommend a vendor that you've had experience with?

Bob, google icon direct, I have a buddy that bought one for his TT, he said it was better than OEM.

Keep in mind roof air plastic covers are repairable with flashing aluminum & silicone to reinforce the problem area.  Small cracks may not materialize into breaks.

I repair shroud cracks using fiberglass repair kits from an auto parts or marine store.

Thanks, all, for the responses.  Took a look at the replacements available at CW, and they looked really flimsy, especially for a price of $99 each.  I'm going to try the repair route first.

So has Steve.  Worked great..  He used something marine, vaguely recalls it being System 60 or something like that.

There are two types of resin available, Polyester and Epoxy. Usually, Polyester is what you find in inexpensive repair kits but Polyester is inherently more brittle than epoxy so try to find plain Marine Epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth for the longest lasting repair.  West Marine is a good source. The cost should be about the same and epoxy will last for decades if it is kept at room temperature. Polyester activator has a relatively shelf life and smells a whole lot worse.  FWIW

Thanks, Kent.  You must have read my uncertaintly, and now I know exactly what I needed to know.  Went to West Marine today, but wasn't sure what to buy.  I've worked with the product once before, so I think I'm good to go.

You should have considerably more working time with the epoxy but that also means a longer cure time. Make sure you are working in temps above 70 degrees. Epoxy is much more temperature sensitive. If temps are a problem, send me a PM and we can discuss how to cope with lower temps.
