Drilling Corian countertop

I'm considering installing the soap dispenser that came with the Moen faucet. It's about a one inch hole. Is there a special hole saw? I imagine a wood spade bit wouldn't do the trick.

Hi Dave,
A hole saw is the better option. Spade bits are not recommended by Corian. After you bore the hole, sand the edge of the hole, top, and bottom, if possible. Just a slight easing, rounding, of the edge. The sanding stops cracks from developing. Make the bore slightly larger than needed. Corian contracts/expands.

Either a hole saw or spur bit. Tape the area to be cut with painter tape to reduce chipping. Should have no problem.
