Microwave replacement

Since the weather in OK was in the 60's today I decided to remove the Kitchen Aide microwave in my 93GV.  Won't pop popcorn!  After 2 calls to the factory to locate the 2 factory added front support screws the unit still refused to come out.  Finally found that the factory had used 3 screws in the spice rack cabinet that were 1/4 in too long and they were holding it in.  The Kitchen Aide (actually a Whirlpool#) uses a mount that supports the unit totally from the rear which appears to be the reason for extra screws.  Is it a waste of time to try to find a microwave that can use the old mount or should I just start over?

I had a sharp and found a sharp to use the same rear mount. I would think that the ge I put in at home used a very similar mount and it looked like it would work inthe Foretravel as well. I went the easy way though and order a sharp online.

I've replaced ours twice(don't ask), and it wasn't difficult to use the new base plate. If none of the holes in the new one lined up with the old, I just drilled some to match. That way I knew I was into the same structural support the factory used.

Well I thought I would try to use the same mount, but to no avail.  Whirlpool/Kitchen Aide don't use that type mount anymore.  I'll just pick one and hope I don't run into a problem with the mirror behind the stove getting in the way.
