HWH (Front) Air Pressure Regulator

Dear FT Folks
I have a 04 U320 about a month ago I was having a problem with my front HWH air regulator leaking around the air pressure control  valve handle so I replaced it with one I bought at Granger store. It seamed to cure the problem. This week I had the MH  raised up and blocked so I could  replaced the engine start batteries. Yesterday when I removed the blocks to lower to auto level I noticed the air compressor was running and running so I shut it off. I climbed  under the front end I heard the air hissing from the new regulator at the same area around the control valve handle. Is there a one way check valve in line that mite be leaking back?

I have installed  a air pressure gauge at the air compressor just for my own information. It well leak down to about 60 lbs and stops at this point the leak at the air pressure regulator also stops.

I have had trouble with my HWH system for the past six months. On a flat surface the rear over a few days well lower and the front well fellow. After week it well be bottom out. I have checked for leaks found a few and repaired. It did not help.
When the front air Pressure regulator is working right the air compressor comes on about 4 to 5 hours

Any help would be appreciated  KARL

Check your air step. That one always leaks. When you find one leak you will close it off and then another will come up.  The weak point. It is odd that you stop leaking at 60 PSI that is when the pump should kick on or thereabouts. It can be adjusted by the bolt on the side.

Good AM John

This is the regulator that controls the  front air bags. Every time I dump all the air out of the system and re-air up the air pressure regulator starts leaking around the regulator control valve handle like I am getting  air flow backwards through the reg. ????? I going to call HWH and maybe they have a answer. Thanks for your reply  Karl

Karl,
If the new regulator is hissing or leaking, than you have a bad (new) regulator.
Sounds like you need to replace it again.
I have had to install an inline ON/OFF ball valve on different sections of the air lines to isolate a leak.
I would air up & shut the valve to a section and see if the rest of the system leaked until I found which section.
But it sounds like you already know the regulator is leaking.
