Keeping the Dometic Refrigerator level

Dometic refrigerator instructions specify that for optimum operation that the coach should be level.  However, I would like to have just a very slight tilt so that water from the AC units does  not run onto the slide out when it is out.  So here is my question:  Is it better to be out of level north to south or out of level east to west?

I need confirmation from others as this is from inside my clan...Looking at the fridge door...better to be off side-to-side than front-to-back.  However, optimum operation is on level all the way around.

Level is always good.  But you have to be pretty far out of kilter to interfere with the refrigerator in any significant way.  The little bit you need for rain runoff is not going to matter.  You don't stay that tilted indefinitely, do you?

We will.  Water gathers on top of the slide out room and after a while it manages to seep into the coach.  The only other solution to my thinking is to trade this coach for another U320 without a slide, but Sandy would not like that idea.

Perhaps you could add the condensation hoses that divert the run off to the rear corner of the coach? We had to replace our front HVAC unit (crapped out in November) and added that feature to front AND back units at that time.  Believe Steve & Michelle have done theirs with good result.

Where did you get the hoses?  Great idea.

They just installed them for us at MOT.  It is a "kit" ... about $65.00ea plus tubing and some plumbing parts, silicone, etc.  We figured that since we were having the old unit pulled and a new one put in, it was a good time to add that feature.  I would call FOT or MOT or Steve & Michelle and ask for particulars.  It diverts all the condensate liquid to the rear corner of the coach.  The kit may contain some sort of pan that collects the moisture ... dunno!

I put the kit on my coach and had it plumbed to go down to the back of the coach and drain under the engine bay.  It is neat and no water dripping anywhere.

As you face your fridge, side to side is the most critical direction for level. Not so much front to back.
