Kitchen swivel/tilt chair base upgrade

We learned from Dave & Nance K. about Alfa Dinettes for new wood covered bases for our original FlexSteel kitchen chair.

We just replaced our original 5-leg all metal chair base with a nice upgraded look of real wood on a slightly smaller 4-leg tilt-swivel caster base.  Maybe no more stubbed toes.  New base comes with tilt-swivel mechanism that is a little smaller than our FlexSteel chair frame.  I used aluminum angles to modify our chair frame.  Other frame mods could be made for the same end result.  An alternative is to reuse the FlexSteel tilt-swivel and insert it into the new base post.
