Thermo Cube

I just bought a Thermo Cube at Farm Supply because it got Cold again. Drained the potable antifreeze out last week because it was in the 80's , soon we are going to Avila Beach for a couple of days so I thought I would get a jump on it. But now all of a sudden last night it was 30 degrees. The Thermo Cube is a thermostatically controlled plug, so last night I put 2 different lights in 2 different spots now I can use the Thermo Cube .  What size light bulbs should I use?  Art

Most people say 100 watt bulbs will do it.  A larger wattage bulb will just be on for a shorter amount of time and will be able to handle more extreme temperatures.  I'm sure you could get by with less with the temperatures your describing.  I use thermo-cubes and with a remote thermometer I found they come on at about 35 F and off at about 50 F.  I used two 200 watt "My Heat" heaters.  Each heater had their own thermo-cubes for each side of the tank bay.  But remember I was in Idaho in January and wanted to be prepared for any freak subzero storm.
