Inside Coach Air Condition Filter

Our two overhead Duo Therm air conditioners have a two-sided filter that I clean with a vacuum. One side is blue and much thicker. The other side is gray more porous and lighter. Which side faces down inside the motorhome floor? Does it matter? They are in good condition, so unless there is a much better filter available, replacement is not necessary.
Thanks

I'm looking for a replacement filter. Does anyone have ideas on where to purchase?  I looked on Camping World's website but not sure those will work. We have some "notches" on ours where the panel connects to the ceiling.

thanks

From the two posts above, I can see we do not have original equipment AC filters.  Ours are about 1/8th of an inch thick and are a kind of woven black rubber mesh.  The previous ones made of the same material and begun to tear.  I found the same product in a hardware store and cut new ones to fit.

They seem to work fine.  We rinse them out about every two months.

George,
That is what came with mine originally & we also bought some of the 1/8" foam and cut it to fit around the notches.
