Any reports from the 4/2011 Buddy Rally in Nac?

Did anyone attend the festivities at FT this past week?  Any reports?

Quote from Michelle: "Did anyone attend the festivities at FT this past week? Any reports?"
A couple weeks ago I called Beverly Koonce (Director of Motorcade) and asked her what would be our cost to attend the Rally without bringing our coach, since we live here in Nacogdoches? The only savings would be the $10/night hookup fee. It would still have been over $400. I just couldn't justify it.

Tom and I stayed and attended the Buddy Rally following the Panama Canal Cruise 'motorcade'.  We had a great time at both events.  The Rally had 61 coaches, ~120 participants + about 20 Foretravel employees.  We had lots of good food, seminars, great entertainment, as well as good fellowship.  Two coaches were purchased by participants at the event.

Actually our final tally was sales of 2 new and 2 pre-owned coaches.  We would like to thank all of our Buddy Rally Friends for making the rally a success in food, fun & sales. Check out our website for pictures from the Buddy Rally.

From the photo captions, it sounds like a mini-Grandvention.  Do consider highlighting the technical seminars more when advertising for the next Buddy Rally.  We had no idea there would be sessions with HWH, Cummins, and AquaHot in addition to James and Aubrey and we're sorry we missed them.

The Posse are pleased to see there's a new outdoor pet area for off-leash leg stretching and hope it includes burr-free grass as well  :)

Michelle, Boy do I agree, I am sure a lot more of us would be most interested in the get together instead of a non interesting (to me) Buddy Rally event.
Just maybe they could have the added attractions after the Rally. ??

Michelle, did I understand correctly that they have added an off leash pet area at the factory in NAC? How did I miss that?

Greg told us they were planning one.  If you look at the Buddy Rally photos Curtis mentioned

There are 70 pictures posted on the facebook page for FT an 85 of the cruise. Looks like everyone had a great time. The buddy rally pictures are pretty exceptional too. I wonder who took them all?  I have a guess but I will see if I am right off line first.

I think I know where they put the off leash enclosure. If I am right, it was loaded with sand burrs. It looks as though it was a temporary arrangement. Does anyone know if FOT intends to leave the fencing in place?

That "Off Leash" area looks like more of a detention area for bad behavior!  Not very inviting,  and it was a very "picky and painful" place to walk the last time I was there. Not much fun being off the leash if you can only move 8 feet, but at least they were trying to address the issue.  Gotta give them points for trying!

Grass seed and water are all that is needed.  Water might be harder to come by than grass seed.  My suggestion is for us dog owners to buy a 5 pound bag of good grass seed and sprinkle it around.  Sooner or later the rains will come and although it might take a year or two, if enough of us do this -- we will eventually have decent grass.  Those sand burs are really awful.

I gotta give points to the factory for thinking in the right direction.
