Windshield washer fluid fitting on passenger side

Earlier, I noticed the windshield washer fitting that goes through the front end cap on the driver's side was cracked and fluid leaked out of it.  So I found 2 replacement fittings locally.  I finally determined how to access and remove the fitting on the driver's sided. So I am now getting windshield washer fluid sprayed on the driver side of the windshield.

I then thought I should consider replacing the windshield washer fitting that goes through the front end cap on the passenger's side.  However, I have not been able to determine how to access the passenger's side fitting.

Does anyone know how to access the windshield washer fitting that goes through the front end cap on the passenger's side?  If so, how do I access it?

Thank you very much.

Morris,

Remove the dash top carefully.  It is just velcroed down.  You have to remove the handle and trim piece above the panel on the right side of the entry steps.  There is a hole cut in the plywood underneath for access to the windshield wiper motor.  You should be able to reach your fitting through that hole.  Be careful not to force things removing the dash top.  You could crack a windshield.  Ask me how I know.

If I understand correctly, I need to tilt up the hood over the dash, remove the handle and trip piece above the panel on the right side of the entry steps and the VERY carefully lift the horizontal dash section that goes across just inside of the windshield.  Is this correct?  If so, where on the horizontal dash section do you recommend I lift to raise the horizontal section to prevent damaging it and the windshield?

Thank you.

Morris,

Unscrew the dash hood and doghouse top and remove.  Remove the other items you list, as well as the curtain brackets and pillar covers, then start at the street side and start gently lifting the top.

And don't forget the flex-ducts that feed the windshield defroster outlets. These are easily disconnected/torn and are hard to re-fit. Were for me, anyway.
