outside door catch

the outside door catch which holds the door open, has stopprd working.  I have removed the door panel and examined the connection wire, checked the door top wedge system and the spring under the wedge system and all seams in order, but holder wedge just slides out of the way anddoes not wedge the door open.  suggestions?  Norm H

sounds like a problem I had when I purchased my coach. I just put some oil on all the moving parts I could find and moved it manually for a minute. Worked fine after that. Just a thought.

   Did the same thing with W-D 40, worked the door many times, sprayed the mechanisms many times, worked the door after each spraying.  Working great now.

thanks guys;  did you remove the mechanism from the top and then spray it?  I have done that using corrosionX without success

If the Posi-Loc cam is worn out you may have to replace it. I just replaced mine. You can order them from PTL. They are the manufacturer. I think it was around $125.00.
