A question on the guard in front of the radiator

In the past I have read many discussions here about removing the rivets from the side louvers that cover the radiator intake to clean the CAC and radiator. Well I did drill out the rivets and remove the guard and have cleaned the CAC and radiator. I will go back with capture nuts and stainless screws to attach the guard. My problem is I also want to install a heavy 1/4 wire mesh on the back of the guard to prevent rocks from getting through. I read somewhere that some of you have done this.
Now I can't find the articles discussing the procedure of attaching the wire to the back of the guard. What did you use to attach the wire to the louvered guard? What size wire did you use?
Thanks

Here is a couple of photos of what Barry L. did to cover his Radiator door with mesh.

Thanks Barry. I see how it is done now. The screen is just captured between the louvers and coach wall with the main attaching screws.
As they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
When I got behind the louvers I discovered a bunch of rocks down in the bottom below the CAC, the screen should prevent them from getting in, in the future.
Thanks again Barry

We also sealed all openings around the radiator with yellow spray expanding foam to make sure all air (and debris) can only enter through radiator grill and hardware cloth screen. I painted yellow with black spray paint to help preserve it. We painted the hardware cloth black to help hide it visibly. Also secured hardware cloth to radiator grill with cable ties, even though the screen is held in place by the grill pressing against the fiberglass inset.

Thanks Barry and Cindy. The cable ties are a great addition and will definitely help hold the screen to the grill for when I take the grill off for service.
Also, congratulation on a beautiful paint job on you coach. I would love to have ours done, but will have to save up a little more first.
