I just did the old poker chip thing, depending on the thickness you may need to glue two together.

Thanks again Rich. I made the first one today and have three more to make. I had 1/8 x 1 x 2 angle aluminum in the shop which
was perfect. A hack saw and a file and done.

Question, what makes them break? And will whatever breaks them be damaged by an unbreakable object?

I have broken a few when the window was open and I pushed the latch to the locked position in order to close the blinds.  Then stupidly closed the window without adjusting the latch back to opened position.  Snap, there goes another one.

That is how I broke mine--I like the 1/8 angle idea

Over the years I've broken three. All by closing the window with the latch in the wrong position. Fortunately I was able to buy replacements back then.

This might be a good project for someone with a 3D printer.
