U-line ice maker

Pulled the U-Line ice maker out of my 93 GV last week and determined the little 3 RPM motor in the ice maker has failed.  Getting a new motor requires that I know the model number of the ice maker U-line used.  After reviewing a bunch of drawings of ice makers online, I think it is a GE but I'm not sure.  Any help would be appreciated.

Bill,

Call Philip Covault of AER Supply in Seabrook, TX, at 281.474.3276.  They are marine distributors of U-Line, SeaLand and many other brands.

Philip can help you with his extensive knowledge and experience, he should have the part and will sell to you at a very good price.

Tried them while in Houston.  I just got off the phone with a parts supplier in OKC and he says U-line does not provide them with a parts breakdown of the maker itself.  He said I would have to replace the ice maker.  Even he said the $300 price tag was excessive.  Am taking the motor down and they will try to match it up.  He said they carry a lot of the motors that control ice makers and he is willing to dig through the bins.  Did figure out the final gear that comes out of the motor case had corroded and seized.

The ice maker appears to be a Whirlpool.  They had the motor in stock, which shocked me and them.  I'm going to start leaving the door open when we put the GV up.  I also plan to pull the cover and shoot WD-40 in there every so often after I get it cleaned up.  The metal parts in the ice maker appear to be picking up a lot of moisture and corrosion was everywhere.
