Looking for more storage space? I think I found one of the few unused areas

The photo below is of our galley storage drawers.  The drawers are only 21 inches deep.  The counter depth is 36 inches.  So there is a space of 15 inches deep by at least 24 inches in height.  I am not going to modify this space, but it could become a book shelf or a custom-made file cabinet for those of you with the time and tools.

I'll bet Sandy would appreciate storage for cookbooks or perhaps a small appliance.....

The front part of our floorplan is angled galley, and Steve added a shelf under the corner desk for cookbooks.  The majority of the work was disassembling the under-sink area to get the false back off.

George, in our 2001 U320 FOT built a storage cabinet, just where you show one could be, when the coach was built. We use this space for storage of bottles of water (1 gal) and rolls of paper towels.
It does put otherwise wasted space to good use.

It's also a good place to put a second concealed drawer behind the existing one.  If someone is searching the coach and pulls out the front draw all they see is blank wood.  A draw added behind the existing is a good place to store semi valuables.  By the way the DEA knows this trick..sorry children of the '60's.
