Kool-a-matic parts

I have a Kool-a-matic motor and roof shield en salvage that needs a new home.  Will ship to a needy sole for shipping cost.  The motor was running when I pulled it out.  I replaced it with a Fantastic fan for looks, light and fewer mosquitoes.

Jerry will the Fantastic fan fit the opening of the kool-o-matic without any modifications?

I have thought about replacing ours with one but haven't tried it for fit. Thanks Kerry

Jerry,

When last we were at Xtreme (back in May), James and Jennifer mentioned trying to find a discarded but intact shroud to try and create a mold for replacement parts (since they are no longer made).  This would turn one shroud into many (and give folks a source for replacement shrouds) if they're successful.  If it's something you'd entertain you might give them a shout.

Kerry, most all roof openings are 14X14 inches which is an industry standard.  The Fanstastic fan drops right in and fits perfectly.  You will have the old screw holes to seal, which I did with the same sealant that I used on the new fan.  I even used the wire from the Kool-o-Matic switch which I left in place.

Jerry

Thanks for the  information on size and fit. The "boss" wife wanted me to change out our unit because our cover is cracked and sometimes it falls down from the opening. I looked at some of the mods others have done, but she didn't like any of them.

Michelle

If the "boss" still wants me to change out our unit, I will send ours to Extreme as well.

Thank you Kerry

I know many FTers will appreciate this since it has been quite a while since anyone could find a replacement shroud.  Thanks guys!
