I did that one 2 yrs ago Tony (before I removed muffler) and I put one with slide out box over the batteries on passenger side. my batteries are AGM so no need to get to them. Both give that added storage.

Bought it a new blender since the immersion one we had died in battle with frozen pineapple chunks this afternoon.  Margarita disaster averted thanks to Oster...

If you like pineapple drinks try homemade pineapple infused rum using Rom Abuelo dark 12 year old rum. Takes 2 weeks to make but it is so good. Gam

Hi Dean,

It will be convenient for the tow cables versus where they were in the center compartment.  hmmm Having air back there would sure makes airing the tow car convienent also!

I also installed an LED light strip with a motion sensor I purchased from Costco, quite bright and it works on 3 AA's. Should have a decent life using regular batteries if not I have some Lithiums I bought from Wally World today just in case.

DW hurt her right knee awhile back. Pain has now returned with a vengeance. Can barely get up steps into the coach. SO---Put bubble wrap insulation in all windows until she can be mobile again or until the sun quits beating us up.

Removed rug cover on plumbing channel in potty room and replaced with vinyl tile.  Glad I did since the plywood frame was starting to fail with water damage from floor cleaning.  I cleaned it all up and painted the plywood with mold resistant paint.  Got the tile for about $4 at Loews and used tub caulk to seal the edges.  Next project is to put the same tile on the shelf under the sink.  I had replaced the shelf rug with vinyl under the main bathroom sink a few years ago.  The water tank fill valve on my 295 is under that sink and condensation ruined the rug.  (A small thing but a poor design.)

First I washed the moho.
Second I replaced the pull strap for the slideout awning. The old one had the last foot or so ripped off and a make shift extension tied on. Looked pretty ugly. The new one from Zip Dee matches the awning and was fairly simple to attach with three pop rivets. Looks like new again. Cost (including shipping to CA) $34.50. FYI:When you order one you need to know the color and the depth of the slide.

Nitehawk.  Make sure the connector on the purchased lights is wired right. I had that problem with a new cable I bought. I plugged it in and it did not work right. The old one did but it was worn thru.  So I took the ends off and say that they had switched the wires.

I replaced the tail light assemblies this morning. The gasket was just about dust. The pains of resting in the hot Texas sun.

Ordered from Foretravel in Nacogdochez and the came the very next day, I couldn't get just the gasket but the lens was very weathered. looks great if I do say so myself :)

I cemented a piece of Filon from the passenger side of the coach to the generator exhaust. This is one of the last steps for bulkhead repair completion. I used contact cement for most of the filon to filon adhesion and epoxy to seal the edges.  I also discovered while working on my back that epoxy and long beards don't mix well......or rather they mix quite well to my dismay. :o

This morning I got up at 4:45am so the DW could help me get the coach out of its parking spot behind the shop; then she went off to work and I went to breakfast to wait for 7am when the Cummins shop opens.

On the way to the Cummins shop (5 miles) the engine went right into heat/cool/heat/cool cycle but I got it there safely. New thermostat had to be delivered so we got the engine ready to remove the old unit.

I took a nap.

At 1:30pm the mechanic began his work and by 4pm the new thermostat was in and we were putting new coolant into the CAC.

The road test would tell the tale. I had specified a "thermostat replacement" rather than "overheat problem" so that we wouldn't put a lot of time in on trying to find some other cause. This saved me some money but if I was wrong it would mean another appointment on another day.

But I wasn't wrong. The engine water temp rose to 180F and stayed there over hill and dale.

Bill: $524

But it's wroth it to have our motor home back.

I hope you did not put coolant into the CAC as that just has hot air in it (just like me ???)

I'm still a little hazy with terminology. It looked like a radiator but I thought it was called the CAC. At any rate, the mechanic did the pouring. I just watched. :D
