Using clear Tech Talk Topic Subject

I think it would be good to title new topics to reflect the core of the question or idea.

You mean you think that might be better than simply making the subject, "I have a question..." ?

That could work.  :D

::) That would make it too easy when you wanted to do a "search" for the problem that you are trying to solve!!  I think it's a great idea.  ^.^d

How about when a reply to a topic does not relate to the subject on hand, we start a new topic?

Sometimes after a few replies, the subject has moved far away from original topic, all under the wrong topic heading.

Neat trick to search for  a subject that you have no idea what it is called other than thingamajig, makes it tuff to respond too.
Why I vote for keep it simple, it seems to be working so far.
Sometimes there are a frw guesses, but usually it gets to the point of interest.
Very few of us are true word smiths.

RE: " Sounds good but what is "clear Tech?"

The word "Tech" is the name of the forum as in "Foretravel Tech Talk".

I guess that "clear" could also refer to how we name and reply to topics in all of the three main Forums.

That's when we moderators try to step in and split posts off to a new topic.  Sometimes it's not so easy, though, when there are multiple thoughts contained in the same post.  But we do our best  ;)

Do I need my own branch of the forum called something like, "Stream of Consciousness and Bad Jokes"?

The more one learns/knows about something, the more empowered that person becomes to speak about it with increasing accuracy and precision, both of which yield efficiency, and the constant upgrading of one's skills in efficiency and effectiveness in communication is a worthly of the status of life-time project in all matters.  In the meantime, every time someone on this forum who knows how things work - what their names are - where to find them - how to trouble-shoot - how to fix them - demonstrates willingness to help someone who does not yet know these things, I am grateful.  This neighborly inclination to respond has been clearly established on ForeForum, and this norm is one of the great attributes of the this community.  Thanks.
