Power Seat Quit Moving

After a rest stop, Marilyn prepared to take her turn driving. She sat in the driver's chair and hit the switch to move the chair forward and nothing happened. I had noticed the the Garmin unit had also complained about losing power as the dog and I returned from a walk around the rest area.

I started to troubleshoot. The "other" 12V outlet in the dash had power. I decided a fuse or circuit breaker must have opened. I started looking for the culprit. I checked the manuals and wiring diagrams. As I was searching for a solution, I pressed the switch to turn on the overhead light. The light did not turn on. Hmm. A failure of house power appeared to be the problem.

When I turned the big switch in the stair well, all systems returned to normal. It appears that the dog or I bumped the switch as we returned from our walk. D'oh! I am sure it was the dog.  :D

If several electric circuits mysteriously quit working, check the "master" house switch near the entry door.

J.D.  am sure that has happened to most of us... :o.  at least once....

That's Right, BLAME THE DOG. Even when I did not own a dog this happened, it must have been your dog.
Between the door master switch and the GFCI in the bath you have to watch the dog carefully.  :facepalm:

Try putting a piece of angle bracket to put over the switch to prevent the dog  ::)  ??? from turning it off accidentally .

My seat stopped working, yep, was the same problem, and same solution, and we also have a dog.

Thanks Barry, I will be adding an angle bracket.  We have a key bin that sits on the floor by the switch.  It is easy reachable going down the steps or from outside the coach to grab coach or toad keys without going back up the stairs.
