Encore "Foretravel Decals"

Does anyone have any recent experience with the Foretravel Decal packages that Encore bought from F/T ?  I know some of these have to be pretty long in the tooth at this point but wondered if they are still viable.

When we were in Nac in the fall, Encore was not looking too great.  They seemed to have much less inventory on the lot, and Bob McGrath was not around on the 2 times we stopped in.  Keith Risch, the guy who knew where everything was in all the trailers full of Foretravel inventory, has moved over to MOT.  This is just my observation of things during about 10 days in September ... others may know better or have dealt more recently with Encore.

No experience with the decals, but I remember a report that FT sold all their old decals to Encore because the glue wasn't reliable any more.

It would be much safer to have your graphics duplicated at a graphics store like RV Stripes and Graphics in Mesa, AZ.

Another option is to have the graphics painted. Previous owner of our coach had all "stickies" except "Foretravel" and "U295" replaced with paint. Most of the exposed surface is white gel coat. The surface is durable, reflects heat from the sun, is relatively easy to care for, and still looks like a Foretravel coach.

I was looking at decals for my coach about a year ago and found them at Encore.  I did have concerns about the condition of the decals due to age.  Gary Hawthorne of Nacogdoches said he had done a coach a few months before I bought my decals and that he didn't have any problems with the kit, so I decided to buy them.  Gary said with proper preparation there shouldn't be a problem.  I only had him do the decals on the compartment doors because the coach didn't need the end or side decals replaced at that time.  So far I haven't had any problems and they look fine.  Gary had decal experience while working at Foretravel and I'm very pleased with his work.

You might be interested to know that the Xtreme Graphics in Nac can make about any decal or picture or air brush about anything you might like on your what ever.  Airplanes, cars or what ever, nice quality work too.

How far back do they generally have decals.  Sure would like to replace the front decals on the two doors.  Everything else looks good believe it or not.

I had a set made last fall by RV Stripes & Graphics in Mesa, Az.  They did a outstanding job.  Reasonable price and guaranteed for 10 years.  Encore only has or did have one red set left that is not complete.  I would be afraid they wouldn't "stick" properly.

If you don't mind telling us how much was it?  Did that include removal of old decals?  And did the new decals look like the originals?

Thanks.

I talked with another 95 owner last week, he is having NEW vinyl graphics made by a company in IL and as soon as they complete them and install them I'll try to post some photos.

Last spring, I got the rear decal for "98" from Encore and they went on fine. (I removed the beat-up old one).  I also got stripes from Mesa Az. and they went on nicely, but after they were on, I thought the coach looked better without them, so I took them off again
