Push switches that control storage bay lights

Found several bad switches that allow lights to come on in storage bays.  Where can I find replacements.

www.picowiring.com/pdf/Cat-29-31.pdf  second row - #5507C  (#5507PT).  Door Alarm Switch, Doors - Hoods - Trunks, On - Button Extended, Dual Mounting Holes, 10 Amp  Probably find at a good auto parts store or a marina parts store on a free standing display.

Chances are those switches are just corroded from lack of use. Get some electronic parts cleaner such as CRC, then spray the switch down good and start pushing the button in and out. Usually the switch will start working, assuming the bulbs are good, and will continue to work with frequent use.

At least that has been my experience.

They are a Cole Hersey switch you can find them on thier web site, and with a part number NAPA may be able to find them.

Have you used these?  They look rounded at the end (rather than flat like the OEM ones).  Wondering if they would work better, particularly in our closet.  I seem to be particularly hard on closet switches and Steve has to keep adjusting the one on my side of the main one (we have hinged doors, not sliders on our closets).

They are rounded, but otherwise same as originals.  I have used them in a couple of the storage bays and they worked fine.  They are Cole-Hersee and I believe they are just a newer version of the same switch.

I had a very difficult time finding them and finally called CH.  They would only sell in larger lots than I wanted, but they did identify a couple of recent buyers which led me to Bus Parts.  RyderFleet, among others, listed them, but they were all out of stock.

I have hinged closet doors as well,  and with broken switches.  I tracked down the OEM switch for those and can look it up if you need.
