LED Wholesalers.com

FYI, I ordered an LED light from these folks. Received it on Monday, tested it and it doesn't work in the fixture.  I then looked at returning it and the website says no refunds, just exchanges for like product.  Of course, this is in the "Information" section.  Needless to say, I'm not buying from these folks again.

FWIW,
I changed out most of my interior lights by buying them on ebay.  Yes, I think all of the pieces were from China.  They were really very fairly priced though.  They seem to be doing a good job.  I really have not used them much so I can not attest to their longevity.  I can attest that they were inexpensive and do reduce the load on the battery a LOT.  I have replaced all of the brass ringed puck lights that are under the cabinets, the lights in the wardrobes, all of the lights in the storage bins, brass lamps with shades, and the vanity lights (bath and bedroom).  They look pretty good too.  The light is a slight change in tone but not much. This was the cheapest source that I found.

Not sure what the issue with the light is.  When I turn the lamp on, the light will flash once and then go out.  I've tried it in several different fixtures and then in another 12v application and it's the same result. I'm going to review the invoice again to be sure they sent the correct light I ordered.
I did call them and they were very unwilling to help answer any questions regarding the light or their returns.  Maybe it was just the person I spoke with but I wasn't real happy when I finished the phone call.

I am not an electrician so this advice may be faulty.  I would first just get a volt meter to insure that you had good DC current to the bulb.  Since it blinks in another spot and if the bulb that was there still works fine...., then you could most likely assume that the bulb is faulty.  Again there is an assumption that the base/contacts are all the same.  Will the above in mind they should replace the bulb as they say they will do that (I think).  If not, chalk it up to a bad experience and buy another bulb somewhere else to replace your bad bulb.  Before I bought another bulb though, I would definately check the fixture with either a regular incandesent (cheap) bulb or a voltmeter to insure it was OK.

I have purchased several rolls of LEDs and bulbs from China without a problem. Delivery is a little long at about 2 weeks. I have since found a California suppliers with China supplier prices, free shipping and delivery in only a couple of days. Ordered 2 rolls of the strips rolls below and got them very quickly. They don't charge sales tax for California buyers. Wonder how that works? Probably included in the price.

Here is the address: 5M 600 LED 3528 Waterproof Warm White SMD Epoxy Flexible Lamp Strip Light 12V |

I cut off a small  1 1/2" strip and intentionally reversed the polarity. That cooked it so wires should be color coded and double checked before applying power.

Have been using  4 watt MR16 LED spotlights for reading, etc. Outstanding. Warm white is the ticket here. Vibration while driving causes them to vibrate out of the fixture if you don't use a dab of silicon to secure the bulb.

Interesting product.  Wonder how many feet of this it would take to replace one of the overhead flourescent bulbs?

Chuck,

Each overhead florescent had two bulbs in it. I replaced the two bulbs with two strips and the strips are about 16 inches in length or 32 inches per light. Each roll is 5 meters or 16.4 feet so you can do about 6 overhead lights on one roll. They use about 8.4 watts per meter. Using the 300 LEDs per 5 meter strips, the wattage is exactly half.

I took out one of the over sink lights in just put two strips in one light. Much brighter than the original as the ballasts took up some length in the original.

Thanks Pierce, I'm going to give em a try.  Those flourescents are on their last legs anyway, including the porch light.  Thanks for the sourcing and info.

I bought from this outfit once and both lights worked. However, I found that their website provides inaccurate info about some of their lights which they admitted. Also, talked with them about how they would ship the item so I could give them the correct address and they did the exact opposite. Would never deal with them again.

Bought several other lights from this company.  LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS  Talked with them by phone and the customer service was good. They shipped the same day I ordered and used the method they advertised. They are located in St. Louis.

Fixture is just fine.  Replaced the LED with the original bulb and all is good.  So for sure it was the LED bulb.

Ebay reference for the bulbs that I used: 1pcs BA15S 1156 1141 SMD bulb 13-5050 SMD LED,Warm White,... (170723051947)

I used these for the swing out brass lamps that are beside the bed and on the walls in the Living room.  They were relatively inexpensive.  As I noted these come from china and seem to work fine (have only had a short time).  If you need them for the brass puck lamps then they are also available on ebay and I have been also please with them.

Warm White G4 24 SMD LED RV Lamp Cabinet Spot Light Car Bulb 12V
these are either the bulbs or similar that I used on the brass under cabinet puck lights.  These work great too with the above short time use that I have had.  I have heard that others have had problems with short life of these but so far so good for me.  I like them.

Feel free to ask and I will try to assist if you need.
