City water

Hello,

I'm new to this forum but not new to Foretravel.  In 2003 I bought a 89 Grand Villa ORED. I traveled in it from 2003 to 2010 and it is now stationary and my residence.  In 2010 I bought an 94 40' U280 as a travel coach.

My problem is with the U280.  My water system works fine with the water tank and electric pump, however the tank will only fill from the passenger side inlet in the hot water heater bay.  If I hook up a city water hose to either inlet I don't get any water pressure inside the coach.  I was hoping some body might have encountered the same problem and might tell me what to look for.

Thanks
Randy

Randy, There is a ball valve under the bath room sink that you turn to fill tank. Sounds like the valve is in the wrong position.
I am not familiar with a water inlet on the right side of coach.
In water bay there should be one connection to fill water tank.  One connection to flush black tank if so equipped. Be careful if you have tank flush, trying to fill here will overflow black tank into toilet.

Gary,

In the compartment in front of the rear axle on the right side of coach where the hot water heater and the drains for hot, cold and fresh water tank are is a hose connection with ball valve for hooking up city water. From this inlet I can fill the tank(via the valve under the sink).  On the left side where the sewer and electric hookups are is an inlet that is labeled potable water. When I hook hose to this one I can't pressurize coach or fill tank.  I guess I need to remove panel in the left compartment and start tracing the lines.
