Brakes

I've been quoted about $3500 to replace all 4 rotors, new pads, misc hardware and labor for my 94 U280. Does this sound in line with what others have delt with?

Randy,

I just looked up my costs done in November of 2008: Each rotor (Meritor) and seal, from FOT cost $380 and another $202 for labor. Pads (kits) were $255.50 each X 4. Labor for four sets of pads: 4.0 hrs - $375 (that means labor was ~$95/hr at the time; it's now $110/hr). Doing the calculations, that comes to $3725.  That doesn't count the 10% off labor and parts for being a Motorcade member.

So, Randy, if you can get all of that done for $3500 today I would say you're getting a good deal.

Don,

Thanks for the info.  Its seems that prices can vary so much from one shop to another that if you don't have any previous knowledge It feels like being blind.

I'm going to go ahead and have them do the job and give a critique after I see the finished result.

Thanks again
