Water leak

I noticed water in the compartment that has the hot and cold storage tanks. I took off the panel and sure enough a small amount of water is accumulating. I tried to soak it up but it contiunes to form. Could one of the tanks have a small leak, the water is cool so I suspect the cold water tank? Is this a fix I could attempt or have a rv tech look after.

Or could the water be coming from somewhere else?

Is this in the bay with the Manabloc? Can you supply a picture of the area where the water is collecting or leaking? There are lots of junctions at the Manabloc that can leak. Try to isolate the location of the source. Look for wet spots on both sides of the coach. Water can traverse all the way across the bay.

That leak could be anywhere in the water system and just accumulating there. I would put on the pump and look and see  and listen when it shuts off. See if the pump cycles to often that will help.  THen I would turn off various systems and start with just one at a time and see if you get water or leaks or the pump turns on.  Looking and seeing if you can see the area and follow the water is another way but unless yo know you are on flat ground and are leveled up perfectly you will see water travel a long way.

It rained really hard here the other day and I found water in one of the lower compartments.  I thought there was a leak in the water also.  Then  I noted that the rubber seal that is for the compartment door had pulled off just a little.  I pushed it back on as it had merely pulled off somehow.  I think this will have fixed it.  I really have not checked it again since but believe this was the issue.  So.. may seem remedial, but do check the gasket.

I treat all the gaskets on the compartments with 303,this keeps the door from sticking to the gasket and pulling it off.

Bill,
By 303, are you refering to Aerospace Protectant? What else do you use it on the coach for?

I've known of people who use it like wax - on the whole fiberglass motorhome, including tires.  Suppose to give you UV protection.

I'm not sure why, but the grey water tank was full, I drained it last night. Checked compartment for water today and it was completely dry. Wierdest thing. Thanks for everyone's input.

on my 2000 my grey tank collar cracked. It is not a standard size and you will have to get it from FT.  if you think it was the grey tank look at the collar area....
