Exercising the Air Brakes
As I do not use the coach very much, the first thing I do while still in the storage lot is to STOMP HARD on the brake pedal 5 times with about 10 seconds in between application (coach rolling in gear at a crawl). This ensures the calipers and slack adjusters get some exercise in case they get frozen or rusted in place. I was advised to do this by one of the techs when I purchased the coach.
Is this procedure advisable? Are these air disc brakes self adjusting by driving in reverse? Or not?
