Wall Clock

We have a non functioning wall clock in our new to us '94 U-240. I have been trying to figure out how to get it off the wall to fix and cannot figure out how to do it. I have searched the forum with no luck either. Any help available ? It is located on the wall just to the left of the door (looking out)

When we bought our coach last November the clock was laying on the counter with velcro glued to its back. Other than the velcro (which I removed) the clock is perfectly flat with no indication of any mounting hardware or technique. I had been wondering where to put it and have not been able to find any evidence of where it was mounted originally, either.

Did they just glue them up to the wall?

The Foretravel clock in our 93, U225 was connected with small velcro patches. Just pull it off. We found a new clock mechanism at Hobby Lobby for around $10.

I will try to just pull it off....... the clock mechanisms are easy to come by, that is one reason why I want to fix it.

Here's the clock I'd LIKE to put into my coach... It's a section of a Wankle engine with rotor and all... with a clock mounted in the middle. Weighs 30lbs!!! Given to me by a kayaker pal whose boss received it as a gift and thought it was "stupid". He gave it to her and she was pretty sure I'd like it. She was right!!! (Offtopic I know... but fun :P )

Craig, In addition to that Wankel clock being a work of ART it is also an example of forward thinking engineering, a testament to the fact that ANYTHING is possible ( given enough labor, money etc ) and it also just plain looks cool.
The unfortunate thing about an item like this is that when I die the things like that that I have will end up in a dumpster ( a big one ).
If given a choice of what I can take with me at the end I would choose something like this.
Thanks for showing us.

When I bought my 95 I was told that the Clock made of walnut with the FT logo was presented to the original buyer at time of closing and that they were not available anywhere else.  I have no way of confirming this.
My clock has a mind of its own.  It keeps perfect time for months and months, then when I put the coach into storage the clock either runs fast or slow.  I have replaced batteries so often that I had to redo the Velcro on the back.  I think this is just a perverse way of being told that I am not in charge.
My favorite clock is in this picture. When I got my first MH ( a 78 Executive ) the kids thought that we had lost it in our old age, ( this was almost 30 years ago ) and they gave me this wooden clock as a gift. It hangs in my office and tells me constantly that I should not be clock watching but on the road.

Got it off without hurting anything. It was stuck (very hard) by six pieces of back to back foam tape. Had to pry it away and then cut the foam tape. I will remount it with Velcro. It has been so long since the battery was changed, the terminals were corroded. Cleaned it up put in a new battery and it is working again. :))  One more item done!

That Wankle clock sure would look nice in my man cave!

I believe the former Foretravel employee who made these (even after retirement) has passed on. His name should be in the archives. Wouldn't be hard to take it and have it replicated... Anyone want a ForeForums clock?

Wonder what happened to the one that was maybe in our U225.  But considering I'm the 3rd owner...

The innards in our clock stopped working so I went to the local Wal-Mart and matched the hands/clock.  Been working ever since.

Where were these clocks originally mounted? Or were they just given to the new (first) owners and they could decide?

I'd rather not use velcro... I'll be watching for a better way.

Ours was mounted on the wall just to the left of the door between the door and window.

On the GV's they were mounted centered above the Windshield with two strips of Velcro.
