Re: Does any one tow the GMC Terrain

We towed a 2011 Terrain for the last 14 months ... until last Tuesday, when we opted for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! The Terrain was very easy to tow and has great storage capacity and wonderful leg room. We also added the SMI Air Force One braking system. Run the transmission thru the gears, going lastly from D to Neutral, turn off the key. Pull a 5 amp fuse and you are good to go. I was told that GM and Honda traded some technology back during the years when GM was producing the Saturn. Part of what they got from Honda was the transmission, so it is sort of on a par with the CR-V. If we were going more than 200 miles or so I would jump in the car during a rest stop and go through the gears again just to keep things lubricated. We had no problems and found the car to be very comfortable. What I WOULD have done differently is to have bought the 6 cylinder instead of the 4. It was OK ... but I would have been a lot happier with the 6.
