GV320 PBFS

Wondering how many were built. GV body style and seems to be rare.

Have read there were some built as late as 2003. Cory at FOT said they still have the molds and would be happy to build me another. I did not even need to ask the price, after seeing the new coaches out front on the line for sale.

I do love the look, and think the Grand Villas look like they are moving all the time. Plus it is interesting to be seeing all the new coaches being offered with sloped windshields and mid doors as the latest and greatest for fuel economy.

Story I heard was that up front deposit would be in the range of 1/2 mil, with completion in about six months. Guess you could really spend some money on one. WHEN I win the lottery....yada yada yada

I see a fade paint scheme, light metallic sky blue on top faded into a darker navy metallic on the bottom. Oh well have to wake up sometimes.

I think 4 were built in 2003.

Just rejoined this site. Just returned from Nacogdoshes, Texas with our 2nd Grandvilla. We thought we wanted a Prevost, but after owning one for 90 days decided that we wanted another GV. Sold the Prevost and headed for Texas. Purchased a pre-owned 2003 GV320. We would love to connect with another owner or owners of GV320'S..

Welcome aboard as well. I too have lusted after your coach, and have walked all around it both times we were in Nacogdoches. Enjoy the new coach, and I too love the Grand Villa front end or clip. You bought a fine looking coach.

We might be interested in your Prevost experience. There has to be more to the story than, "we wanted a Prevost, but after owning one for 90 days decided that we wanted another GV". You might stop my Prevost viewing times in the future.

When we were at MOT last week I saw a Prevost there, but didn't go into it. I just looked at the pictures on the website, and I'm not impressed. Aside from the fact that it is about 5X what we want to spend, I don't care for the mirror on the ceiling or all the little lights around the edges of everything. I do like the wood floor, though.

Sold and used a lot of prevost in the old days. Metal shell gets hot and cold. Needs the climate control on constantly. Low to the ground. Scrapes off the super slab. Heavy, sinks in hot asphalt and damages a lot of surfaces.

Bob, how would the Prevost that MOT has 1998 Prevost Marathon 40' Motorhomes of Texas compare to a 'Bird of the same vintage as far as weight and strength? About the same, or is the Prevost heavier?

Prevost used to be bigger inside as the le mirage was 103.5 inches at the belt moldings. Bird was 102 at the side reinforcing molding that sticks out.

My 97 unicoach may be unusual as it only has 800 hours on the gen versus 2300 on the prevost but it's metal. Takes hours to cool it down.

Parked my u320 in two farm driveways last month and ran non ac dry camp from a 100' 10amp rigid extension cord.

No way on a bird or prevost. plus Too low to the ground to go any boon docking and needs a lot of power.

The marathon prevost would be my choice personally. I like the polished stainless bottom..

Impervious to road salt. The h3 with the non metal body is better insulted I think...

But you are not on the same level as the driver.

Foretravel was correct in my opinion that a white gel coated fiberglass Rv is the best choice in construction and insulation and low maintenance.

Yes, it's not as pretty as paint. I scraped bushes getting my 320 into the two farms last month that anyone with a painted coach would have cried over.

Sorry I enjoy having a dry campable boon docking luxury coach. Insulation, ground clearance, not tender outsides are things to consider.

Ok, this is the Newbee trying to reply to your nice welcome postings. I am having a bit of a problem figuring out how to reply to individual postings.

We owned our previous Foretravel SE Unihome 300 40 ft, for 10 years. It of course, was also a pre-owned coach. If you ever
saw it on the road it had a "Royal Flush" deck of cards fanned out on the rear. In February we had a chance to purchase a 45ft
Prevost LeMirage by Vogue/Featherlite 1998, and we were blinded by the bling! It was all electric, but we thought the batteries
would allow us to dry camp. Boy were we foolish. The dealer who sold it to us, offered to buy it back and we did so after 3 months of ownership. It was one of those bucket things us older people try to get done while we are still kicking! Anyway, we
were fortunate to have completed the deal of selling back and at the same time found the 2003 Grand Villa at the Foretravel dealership. Tyle Fore, was our salesman and he managed the whole thing. We do have questions about some of the things on
this newer Foretravel GV, but I can see by this web site that there is plenty of experience rolling around.

As soon as I figure out how to get around this site I will start fishing and picking your experience manuals.

I'd say you've figured it out. If you wish to quote someone's post, as I've done with yours, just click on the "quote" button in the upper right corner of the post you want to quote. If you just want to join in the conversation click on the quick reply button at the bottom of the thread.

If you want to quote and reply to several posts all in one post, I've found that copying and pasting is the easiest. For example, I might say something like:
Ivoldstuff said, "As soon as I figure out how to get around this site I will start fishing and picking your experience manuals." Then I'll make my comment.

Peter said, "As soon as I figure out how to get around this site I will start fishing and picking your experience manuals." No, actually Peter didn't say that, I just picked a name and pasted the line I already had. When using this method, though, you have to put in your own quotation marks.

Welcome to the forum. I've not found anyone here who bites, and I have found lots of very friendly, knowledgeable people who are eager to help. They've answered all of my many questions, and I don't even own a Foretravel yet. In fact, the only ones I've ever been in have been sitting still, haven't even ridden in one.

I was at the dealer in quartzite the day you made the deal. My wife and I walked through your coach. I was told you were in the vogue behind the office building so we did not meet. The salesman that sold your 03 asked me for some quick info on the 300 which may have helped him to sell it I think.

We were just going for a warm weather convertible ride and the sales manager Johnny is an old friend so we ended up driving over just to have a cook out and campfire night.

Getting the final directions John mentioned that they just had taken your coach in.

Really. Not in the market. Your 300 got us interested. Nice floor plan. Round dinette table to the left of the entry door.

Bought an 97 instead a month and a half later from another dealer buddy.

The 2003 should give another 10 years easy.

I did think it was unusual to go from a 300 to the pretty vogue. If you had power all the time the vogue was beautiful. Cross that one off your bucket list. In your spot I may have done the same thing.

Sure was shiny.

No experience with all electric and only saw the outside.

I recall the first Foretravel I ever saw. I was mildly interested in moving up from the Bigfoot camper on a 7.3 Ford 4x4, which was a very nice rig in its own right and had pulled onto the ferry heading into Port A, right next to a rig with "unihome" logo on it. I was immediately intrigued, not so much by the overall shape, but the detailing, lack of seams and rock solid look of it. The next time I sat down at a computer I started finding out more about these coaches and the final decision was made, which made the whole selection process easy. I never gave any other brand more than a passing look.

We were at Camp Foretravel when the previous owner dropped off your new 2003 GV320. He was kind enough to show us through the coach. It is my favorite GV320. I really liked the Green/Cream color scheme and the front end on the 2000+ Grand
Villas are way cool. I'm sure you will have many years of Happiness with your new coach. Its a great one. Welcome to the forum family.

We saw your GV just before it was delivered. We had ours in for a few repairs. It is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations.
