Lift pump

I am having trouble finding this part on the back issues and know that many have replaced it on an ISC 350, so does anyone have a part # as I will want to get one and do that change even tho' mine still looks good. I seem to remmber some photos of it and the bolt pattern etc which also would help me as it sure looks like a tough area to get up to. Any help would really be appreciated.

I haven't replaced mine yet, but I got this from the Cummins site... I think your is similar.

Don did the bracket come with it?. It seems so awkward to get to. Were did you get yours from ??

John, I guess I should have said that I haven't purchase it yet! I do need one because ours is leaking. This is just what I found while researching it. The PO actually replaced it back in 06', but it must have been old stock, and hence not fit for the ULSD fuel. It is next on my list when I finish rebuilding the basement framing... and yes, it does look quite awkward to access. Not sure how I am going to manage it to be honest, but then it has been like that with everything on this coach. A genuine learning experience!

Had my lift pump replaced (on ISC 350) in Oct of 2010 at Cummins Bakersfield CA.  It was leaking fuel from the outside.

The part number from their invoice is listed as:  4935007  - PUMP, FUEL TRANSFER  Product code CECO (=Cummins is the mfr)  and the price in 2010 was $287

I have spent the last 2 hrs digging into this pump problem and it seems all the change Cummins made was a simple gasket that goes between the pump and housing. They were selling the replacement gasket but stopped and instead only make the unit available now. I have found a company that has the original cummins gaskets in stock for around $8.00 each (there are 2 styles so you have to know which is right).
This makes replacing the whole thing redundant by the looks of it. I have e-mailed this Diesel parts place and will be ordering them once I hear back from them. Keep you posted.

John.I replaced mine a couple of years ago. If you take your engine serial # to the Cummings dealer they can get you the right part. It has 3 bolts that hold it on, and 2 or3 fuel lines all are real tight. The best way to get to it Is from the top. Not real techinal just tough to get to. The pump will come with necessary o-rings and plugs for unused ports. Yes you can get rebuild kits however the pump is 12 years old.

Bruce, I agree the best way is to replace the whole pump but the part that causes all the trouble with the ULS fuel is a part that Cummins used to sell but they do not make it for sale by itself as there is a lot more money to be made by selling the whole thing. I have the schematic of part sent to me, and I have e-mailed a few places on both the gasket and the whole thing. We will see what transpires Monday.

Unless your lift pump is leaking, it need only be changed if it's not pumping to spec!  Check with an in-line gauge first.
