One time non-crank event

Had driven for a bit, shut it off.  Went to restart, nothing.  Gauges worked, plenty of voltage.  Went to the back and tried the remote start, started right up.  Has worked fine since.  My only guess, ignition switch going bad???

Actually, this happened just a few miles from home so I didn't get that panicky feeling.  Couple days ago I'd taken my wife's jeep in for some work, when I got there discovered the water pump was going bad.  Maybe I should be buying a lottery ticket.  In the meantime, no more shutting engine off at stop lights to save fuel :P

there is a silver starter solenoid that could be going bad and if it is cycled with more voltage or just by being cycled might make the circuit to activate the starter solenoid on the starter
