Parking brake- ON or OFF

What would be a better procedure for extended parking;

 Set the parking brake.

OR

 Chock the tires, and leave the Parking Brake off (provided your on a flat surface)

I would set the brake and chock the tires. Replaced one spring in ten years not a bad expense.

As pressure drops after a few days, the parking brake will apply itself anyway.
