Mid-South Rally Canton, October 18-21, 2012

Talked to Judy Perkins Wagon Master for Canton Mid South. (week before Grandvention)  Registration packets will go out on the first of Aug.  Larry and Judy are at 903-984-6072.  There will be Golf if you are interested.  Let Judy know and we will be planning the time etc and nr. of players.  Hope  we can get a lot of forum members there.  Canton has a lot of shopping areas.  She will be posting info on the forum.  Tks DAn

Hopefully there's a "hackers" option for the golf.  You know, for folks like Steve and I whose answer to "what's your handicap?"  is "our golf swing"

Steve/Michelle:  We are all hackers, but we still enjoy the fun of just being there and the game.  May play at "Garden Valley" one day and "Twin Lakes" the next.  Golf or not hope everyone will get to Canton.  I think there were 50 or so coaches last time in Conroe so sign up when you get your registration form.  Tks

Thanks Dan for starting this thread.  The registration packets have now been mailed out and we're hoping for another big turnout for this Mid-South event.  Also, Canton is only about 40 miles from Mineola, TX so anyone planning on attending the Grandvention should consider coming to this "warmup" rally!

Registration info can be found at Foretravel Motorcade Club Mid-South Chapter and you can even register on-line.  Mill Creek Ranch is a wonderful spacious park with a country-like atmosphere.  Come join in the fun!

I see a change in the end date (now Oct. 20 instead of Oct. 21) on the FTMidSouth site.  Is this correct?  Let me know so I can update the topic title as needed.

Hi Michelle,

The last rally event is the dinner/entertainment on Sat. evening (20th), but coffee/donuts are served Sun. morning before a worship service with many people departing after that.  However, since the Grandvention doesn't start in Mineola until Tues. some people may want to stay longer.

Got an email from Judy Perkins and the rally is through Sunday.  Nights included with the Rally Fee are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  If you want other nights you should get the same rally rate for those nights as I know some will stay until they go to the Grandvention in Mineloa and come early.  Contact Mill Creek Ranch RV Resort for other nights.  Besure to mention you are with MidSouth. Also extra person in coach as guest I believe is $85.00.  Tks DAN

Coleen we will miss you.  For the rest of you "GET SIGNED IN"  Only 35 coaches so far and 70 are expected. need more golfers.  Playing on Wed at Garden Valley and Thurs at Twin Lakes About $35.00 each day.  DAN

Our check for Mid-South in Canton is "in the mail." We don't play golf, but look forward to visiting with lots of fine folk.

I told Marilyn that I wanted to sign up as "rally first-timers" - again - because we were such honored guests at the rally in Montgomery, TX. However, since she: 1) led singing as soon as she walked in the door; 2) won "name that tune" on game night; 3) won the $100 gift certificate at the last dinner; we would probably be recognized and be banned from claiming to be "first-timers."

Sorry that we won't be attending. We enjoyed the rallies we went to several years ago but since then have been in other parts of the country when the rallies took place. This year we are both doing cataracs in October...fun...and won't get back on the road until mid November. Have fun!
