Silverleaf Mod for 2000 U320 Possible?

I tried searching, but was unable to come up with anything current.  I can't figure out how to sort the results to list most current results first.

In looking at the U320 2000 era units, it doesn't look like they come with an engine monitoring system.  It looks like they come with the Audit 8t8 for back up camera, tank monitoring, etc., but I'm looking for something that will display engine codes, temps, etc.

Is it possible to add on Silverleaf as a modification?

In addition to searching on Silverleaf (for things like the VMS-440, GlassDash, etc.), you might search on VMSpc as a number of members use that PC-based Silverleaf option.

Thanks.  Yes, after a search, I see that a laptop may be the easy way to go.

I really like our VMS 240 CL. It sits very conveniently right in front of me on the top of the dash. I only have to shift my eyes down to read it - not sideways. I rarely look at the instruments in the dash - or need to.

It not only provides the info, it is a safety device. It provides something besides the road to occupy my attention and keep me alert as it changes - not just the road and traffic.

Just recently I noticed it does not turn off when I shut the engine down - IF my running lights are still on.

best, paul

Thanks for all the info.

Does anyone know if I can buy the VMSpc, plug it into a coach I am interested in buying, and read the code history?

You could ask Silverleaf - I think you can only read what codes are currently set. You can read mileage and lifetime mpg...

I just noticed Silverleaf also offers a new VC430 (I think) that can display engine data on your rear-view monitor. Nice option!

That's it; again, a very nice looking option, thou the picture on the link is pretty obviously a composite rendering and I'm pleased with my VMs-PC, I like the VMS-330 concept. We'll be up in the area in a week or so, and I plan to stop at Silverleaf for a show-and-tell.

It would be nice to find a price for this unit.

Thanks for the additional info, good ideas.

After doing some searches, it looks like the cost for the VMS 330 is $1295.  It may have a small number of reduced features than are on the higher priced units, but looks to be a nice compromise since you don't have to consider the cost for an additional tablet or computer screen, mount, and power cord management required for the VMSpc.  But it may be nice to have the screen size of your choice with the VMSpc.
