Sue and Craig's awesome bathroom floor re-do (was Re: What did you do to your coach today)

Sue finished a week-long project replacing the bathroom rug with a mosaic tile motif. Just used some linoleum around the "throne" and painted the plumbing cover or "step" next to the shower.  Stained some new trim pieces.

Not sure what we'll do with the "throne" because we're looking towards replacing the toilet fixture at some point in the near future; this is why we didn't tile that area because of the anticipated change.

The center portion of the design is a complete piece bought at Lowe's for about $50... I think we have about $150 involved between extra tiles, grout, etc.

Fantastic. Did you add some radiant heat, also?

No radiant heat... slippers are much cheaper. It is a little cool on the tootsies but a throw rug is available when we go skiing if we need to. That 20-year-old carpet was long overdue for the garbage bin.

I have found that a tablet Android (we have a Samsung) is remarkably handy for doing research while in the bathroom. The DW thinks it's stupid. One of the major differences, I suspect, between men and women is reading in the bathroom. :D

We have a collection Uncle John's Bathroom Readers ::)

But on the topic of tile, Lowes really does have a surprising selection of listels, accent tile, and mosaics.  I used one of their accent bands (modified) for our bath backsplash and one from Home Depot for our kitchen backsplash in the coach.

Sue did a beautiful job ^.^d

Very nice job.

Having done ours a couple of months ago I know how much time it takes.  I find that I should have added heat, the floors are colder, so far we have only camped and needed the AC's.  Suspect we will use the bath mat often to stay off the tile.
