Pinched seat control wire.... fastest RV repair in history?

We're on our way west on I-74 west of Peoria, IL. When we pulled into a park for the night, Pat's passenger seat controls would not work. And there was this odd clicking coming from the wiring "closet" in front of the passenger seat. Click.... click.... about every 8 seconds. Turned off the main DC switch and it stopped. Pat called James Triana and he answered the phone! Amazing. I gave him our build number and he told me it was probably a pinched wire under the seat (which it was) and that it was relay 48 making the noise (which it was). I found the damaged wire which had been caught by one of the drive screws under the chair. Easy fix....total time less than 30 min. We owe FOT big time for James' services.

Thanks George, this is a good tip. I recently had my drivers seat get stuck in an uncomfortable recline position, or I should an not so reclined position. I ended up having to pull the upholstery off the back of the seat to get to the screw jack. I pulled it out, exercised and lubed it, it's been working well since. I got to learn a lot about how the seat works, but I didn't know where the electrical switching was located. I did find that if you swivel the seat in a full 360 degrees you can inadvertently disconnect the wiring harness, and then nothing works, but that was easy to fix.
