Outage

Sorry for the downtime over the day and a half :-(

An innocent soft server restart by the provider to address one of the cache issues resulted in a incompatibility with one of our config files.  We were traveling in a no cell / internet area so fixed it as soon as we were back in range.

I will probably not get back to all the phone calls or emails, but thanks for all the concern, everything is fine ^.^d so now back to your regular forum.

Steve/Michelle,

You have no idea how many friends you have!  Barry and I (and likely others) have been receiving dozens of calls and e-mails to make sure y'all were OK.

And, since we haven't visited since Tuesday when you were headed to Ben and Jerry's, we were concerned about an ice cream OD.

Welcome back to the fold.

I got a few too... but figured you were having a good time and out of cell range.  It usually does not last that long but I know people were going thru withdrawals.

plus one on that! I would compulsively check to see if the forum would load everytime I walked by my computer, and every once in awhile, the error message would take a little longer than usual and I would hold my breath hoping for a different outcome (say, isn't that one of the deinitions of insanity? Don't answer that!). Fortunately, (or unfortunately) the error message would reappear before I turned blue!
It certainly does make one aware of just how valuable and important Foreforums is to the experience of owning a Foretravel... and to just how well and smoothly this forum runs 99.9999% of the time. Thanks Steve & Michelle! ^.^d

 WHEW!!
I was sure that CHAMP had gotten you two.
I envisioned all manners of disasters!
Glad all is OK and that the problem didn't consume herculean recovery efforts over that whole time-frame.

Thats nice to know what it was,
I had this internal server error, Never seen that before, So I uninstalled Google Chrome and reinstalled it. It usually fixes all and any of my bugs,
But it was still there, Not being a whizz on computers, I just left it alone thinking i wont be back on foreforums again,
Some sort of Glitch beyond me,

It is annoying as I lose all my passwords, Hahahahaha

But up and running again, Alls well

???  This was a first for the "Foreforum" to be down for any length of time, since its inception. You never really know what you have until it isn't readily available. MANY THANKS ! Steve & Michelle,  for the Great site, and the Constant maintenance. ^.^d

So glad the site and both of you survived the ice cream.  I sure missed my daily dose of Foretravel pleasure found on the board.

Glad to have you and the board back.

After a week in areas with no WiFi I was Desperate when I found that the site was down. I had visions of all kinds of disasters, Were Steve and Michelle still alive ? Had Egypt Bombed Us ? Had the sun stopped shining ?
The DW finally told me to go to bed and shut up. I Did, Now all is well and I am catching up on ten days of posts.
