Camp Foretravel

Well, this is our first visit to this lovely facility.
Joshua has been very helpful guiding us through the process of spending our money! :P
Leveling system getting straightened out, air leaks throughout front of coach getting fixed, camera/tank monitor system being replaced, and one new hub cap with another on order!
Will be making the call to the bank later....... :'(

Yep, those service writers know how to spend other folks money!  But it's worth it in the end, or at least that is what i keep telling myself!

Enjoy the opening of the wallet!

The one you really need to watch is David Flanagan.  He's very stealthy.  Casually shows you all sorts of great ideas for the interior and the next thing you know, you're booking a remodeling appointment ;)  (I haven't been allowed to talk to him unsupervised this trip).

Mark - great to see you and your mom again this morning.

For those who love music, Josh is an accomplished musician. (sorry Josh! for elaborating, but some of us care for music AND FT's)  he often plays with groups around town on the weekends!  Lighten up, relax and enjoy the ambiance in Nacogdoches. Wonderful town, wonderful folks!

Well, you might want to look at the difference a new camera makes in a new coach - huge Field of view (I can see my hitch ball and past the Honda Element, plus infared at night is almost as good as daylight....

How's the parking at Camp Foretravel?

We just finished up here at MCD and will be heading east for our Friday appointments for service & renovation.
Might come in a Wednesday PM vice Thursday if the coast looks clear.  John S mentioned in another thread that the lot was completely full earlier.

We are here - most of the back wall is open as are a few other spots.  We came over this afternoon and tomorrow we will ping Billy Jack about some Girard awning caps, I want to ask David F. about the new Advantium oven, and see if Service can squeeze in a look-see at our minor coolant dribble (which hasn't recurred, at least in any on-the-ground evidence) since the GV.

After I arrived home from the GV I noticed small spots of coolant on the ground at both ends of the radiator. They appeared to be coming from the gasket at the seam on the ends. I will try tightening the bolts and hope that takes care of the leak. Radiator was replaced about three years ago.

Michelle - When you get some more info please share.  This sounds interesting.  Didn't know they made caps for our style awnings.  Are there benefits other than looking cool?!

On our 2000 295 when I was repairing the CAC I noticed a small  (very) leak on end cap and was able to  get 1/4 turn on bolts and I have never seen any wet spots again so maybe just a seal shrinking(or). Try it too and maybe you have luck also.

Turns out that Fiberglass actually has to have the coach to fit the fairings/caps.  We'll wait and look into it in the spring when were back in Nac for annual service.  And no functional benefit, really, it's just a vanity thing.

As near as Bob could tell (since we had no evidence of coolant leaking this morning), it was simply some loose clamps/fittings.  He found several pretty loose, tightened them up, and advised us that the area behind the alternator would be a good place to start checking if the problem reoccurred.

On a couple of automobiles I have had coolant leaks that occurred when temperatures dropped. I found that snugging the hose clamps first thing in the morning stopped the leaks.

Well, we're here for the weekend. Found a rodent in the main computer area after the new leveling system computer failed to address our problem. (This might explain the other shorts that were occurring throughout the coach!)
Monday they start tracking wires to find out how much damage has been done. I may be calling the insurance company as well.

There was a coach from NJ that had  a mouse chew up all the wires for the HWH and it was a pain to trace all the wires to see what was chewed.
