Chula Vista Rally

Just wondering who from the forum plans to attend the Rally in Chula Vista at the end of November?

Betty and I as wagon masters will be there along with Harvey and Audrey Nelson and Leo and Ineke Volkert. I don't think anyone else from the forums will be there that I know of.
As of now we have 14 coaches signed up with two more posables. You are more than welcome to stop by visit with all of us. PM me if you want more info.

But you do have plans to assimilate them, correct? ;)

We definitely want to visit with everyone and we'll help with the assimilation plans!!!

The coach will still be at Don's house and a work in progress so anyone who wants to come check it out is welcome to do so.

Let me know if you need any help with anything, wagon masters. :)

Michelle, You Betcha!!!
Tys, it will be great meeting you and Don in person. After reading all of Dons posts on the repairs and upgrades I already feel like I know you guys.
I'm pretty sure Betty and I have got things all taken care of for now but thanks for the offer. The rally starts on the 29th. We will have fun!

This is interesting. Out of the 28 people (14 coaches and assuming 2/per coach) planning to attend a rally in California, at least 4 of the people were at the Mid-South Rally in Canton, TX. We who live near Nac have the unique privilege of encountering many Foretravel owners.

I hope we can travel more in the future and meet even more fellow Foretravelers.

I am often been tempted to make the four hour trip to Nac just to meet the people "I have met" via Foreforums.

The Chula Vista Rally should be great fun, but we will not be making the 2,880 round trip to the rally.

We just got back from the Grand Vention in Mineola Texas and there were 89 Foretravels, from the early 90s to brand new. What a great time we all had!

Hi Richard,

We met at the GrandVention. Count one more Foretravel Coach from the Mid-South Chapter for the Chula Vista Rally.

Suzy and I will be leaving for California next week to visit family for Thanksgiving.

She has just completed the Ladies Driving School in Nacogdoches. It was blast. The men spent quality time with James Triana for two days while the ladies drove the 2013 Foretravels, including an IH45.

The ladies went through a motor coach life changing experience. Suzy even drove home! She would even get in the seat before the course.

The bad, Suzy reports that the 2013 Nimbus drove smoother. I asked how? She says the steering wheel turns easier and it just feels better. I hoped to drive the 2000 U320 we have for a few more thousand miles.

Any early arrivals for the Chula Vista Rally?

Bob,  glad you and Suzy are going to make it to the rally.

We left Nac. the Saturday  before the ladies driving school. Wished we could have stayed for that but needed to get home to get ready for the rally.  We will do the school next year for sure.

We will be at the RV park on Wednesday the 28th. Don't know yet if anyone else will arrive early.  Do you know yet when you'll arrive?

Richard,

We plan on having Thanksgiving at my brother's house in Mira Loma, CA. That gives all that time after Thanksgiving.

We have all the flexibility that time period affords us.

Oops we didn't take any... :-(

We were there Friday night after dark and yesterday afternoon when it was drizzling outside.

Hopefully some of the people who were actually camped at the rally took some during the sunny times and will post them later.

I concur, Richard & Betty put on an incredible rally.  They even arranged the weather to be perfect.  Our only regret is that our personal schedule didn't allow us to stay longer in this great area.  Next year!!!

Also:  welcome to the ForeForum Coopers.  We really enjoyed getting better acquainted with y'all at the rally.

Tys & Don:  Sure enjoyed spending time with y'll and seeing your incredible project.  The Lemon Rally would be a great goal for your first outing.  Keep in mind that you don't need to stay for entire event.  (10 days is a long time for dry camping especially the first time.)

YOU ALL are the ones that made it such a wonderful time. If it wasn't for you, there would not of been a rally.

Thanks again and be safe in your travels.

Great to spend time with you too, Harvey! So nice that you, Audrey and BJ were able to come see the "work-in-progress".

Not sure yet about the Lemon Rally...there are a lot of steps between now and a boon docking trip...but Don is optimistic so we'll see how it goes. If we don't make it this year, I'm sure we'll see each other at some future event. :)
