Boost switch bulb not lit

Now my booster switch didn't light today when I went down to RV to charge engine batteries this week....  Booster switch research tonight.

Agree - the Boost switch bulb is not a long-life one by any stretch.  We've replaced ours several times.

Mine is out as well. I haven't looked that closely. How do you access the bulb? Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack the thread.

Benjie, carefully pop the switch out of the dash and there should be a small cover that opens to expose the bulb, at least that's how mine is. I think I found a picture of it with a search on the forums. Rocker Switch Bulb Replacement

  Thanks Dean,
I did pop out switch on panel, to find two plugs,  the front plug had wiggled loose. This also was keeping boost from working at all.  Now my problem is the light shorted out when attempting to re-seat the switch in the panel.  So now boost switch does its job, but is not lit.  Oh well.  Boost is achievable now!

I'm working on replacing my bulb, but I looked at the bulb and doesn't appear to be burned up.  I'm going to replace and see if it fixes the issue.

Ratbug, how did you verify boost was working without bulb lit?

My connections appear to be fine at the switch, if its not working, where's the next logical place to look for misconnection/issues?  Is there a fuse?

Did a quick search and found a thread on the boost solenoid.  Any idea where its located?  I'm going to verify its working as well as replace the bulb.

Think I found the boost solenoid.  Its located next to my isolator ('95 U295).  Appears to be working as I can hear it switch when I have my daughter throw the boost switch.  Still gonna check voltage when I get a voltmeter.  Sorry for the churn.  Looks like I need to start doing better searches before asking questions! :P

Hi Benjie,
In my situation I could hear increase in engine speed when switch engaged.
