How adjust rubber seal at outside of slide glide? (not the bladder)

There is an approximately 2 by 3 inch rubber seal that covers the outside of the U shaped glide mechanism under my living room slide.  This seal is needed to completely close off the outside when the slide is out. It appears to be fixed by a star (torx) screw.  Can this be adjusted or is it better to just replace it?  Can it be fabricated or do I need to get a new one from FOT?  Do you remove it just by loosening the star screw?

I noticed it because there appears to be some light around the edges when viewed from the outside at night and there is a light on in the coach.

Here is a picture of the seal although you can't see the screw because it is at the bottom and there wasn't enough room to get my camera lens at an angle to show it.

You can see that the seal doesn't quite fit the space out to each corner.

Larry,

Looking at the photo, I think that item's primary function is the plastic/nylon plate at the bottom that the bladder inflates into (keeps it from over-expanding in that area).  Here's ours, which doesn't have any of that face seal yours does

In fact, the one for our BR slide was missing - never installed during the build of our coach.  Our BR slide bladder lasted 8 years before failing in that area (thanks to MOT we now do have the missing part installed)

We haven't had an issue (yet, 8 1/2 years) not having that face gasket in place; it would be interesting to see what others' "retaining ledge" (as we call it) looks like.

Thanks Michelle.  I remember reading about the problem with your coach and looking to see if I had the same issue which I don't.

As I mentioned, I see some light around the seal and my concern is that this will allow Aquahot exhaust into the coach.  The exhaust pipe is almost directly under the position of the seal.

Can you see light while looking from the outside in at night with a light on in the coach?
