Looking at 2000-2003 floorplans

Still researching Foretravels, I went to the Foretravel Brochures, Specs, & Manuals page to browse floorplans for the years 2000 thru 2003. Floorplans for 2000 don't show at all. The ones for years 2002 & 2003 are so small it is difficult to see much detail.

Is there a better online resource for this information? I have searched the internet and found nothing. Have tried this only on my iPad. Maybe it works diiferently on a Windows system.

Royce, Peter (of Peter & Beth) posted a nice 2003 Product Manual (2003 Foretravel Guide). However, when I clicked the link in Peter's post a moment ago, there was no file to download - BUT, I did download it back in April 2011, so I'll attach it here. Hope this helps (and you should be able to zoom in on the floorplans).

I uploaded the missing 2000 Floorplans. The 2002 & 2003 are the original images. You can zoom in on your browser and it will show better.

Thanks, Barry & Pat. The '02 & '03 images do show up on my netbook more distinctly.

There are also some custom floorplan coaches out there, even in 2000-2003. The basics will be the same, but there could be a few tweaks done by the original owner during the ordering process.

Our '03 is custom. Part WTFS, part AGDS, part "original owner wanted a desk and a window in the bedroom slide instead of a closet".

Yes, the tweaks are what make finding the "right one" fun! According to the brochure, our model is a "WTFS" (walk through bath front slide)... as you can see in my signature, I call it a PBFS (private bath front slide), cause that's what it is!

As you can see in the photo (when we bought it in '09), there is a pocket door to create a private head with sink, to separate it from the shower on the opposing wall.

Bamafan, when you check out the 02 and 03 year coaches,get the serial# of the coach you are looking at,and check with the factory to see if the front and rear cap repair has done, some of these coaches had cracking problems on the front and rear.

I can only comment on the 2002 model floor plans.
Foretravel had eleven carryover floor plans from the previous year and eight new floor plans for the 2002 model year.
If I had a scanner I would post them.
I do have the Foretravel drawing numbers of each, if you are interested.
I know this isn't much help to you, but I thought I would offer.

What types of drawings do these numbers refer to? Engineering drawings? How would I use them?

Thanks, Bill. That is a good tip. Cap repair could be expensive.

These drawing numbers refer to the actual drawings from Foretravel. With the drawing reference number, I think Foretravel can supply you with a copy of a particular floor plan. Does that make any sense to you?
Example, Drawing #A-8157.15 is the floor plan drawing of 4020 U320 AGDS 40' (angle galley kitchen, Front Slide & Wardrobe Slide,Private bath)

Well, I have concluded that the ideal coach (for us) does not exist as a factory-built floorplan. We feel that having a couch would be a waste of space and would much rather have a recliner on each side with additional storage in a desk or cabinet. Also, having a table with chairs instead of the booth dinette would provide more flexibility.

How many of you have made mods to create such a floorplan? Of the few coaches that are available for sale, none seem to have this arrangement of furniture.

The remodel shop at FOT can give you what ever you want for furniture, all it takes is the green stuff.

I just pulled a couch out and put in a bar like table and two chairs. David Flanigan shop can do anything you want.

We took out the dining booth in our coach, That was very easy . We use chairs that work very good. I am sure that the couch can be removed easily too. If you find a coach that only needs to have a few things changed that can be arranged.
